Because the spread and scope of COVID-19 is a rapidly changing situation, it is strongly recommended that all students, faculty and staff check CDC travel guidelines and warnings before planning any travel, University or personal.
Students, Faculty and Staff:
- University travel to any country with a U.S. Department of State “Do Not Travel” warning (Level 4) or CDC Level 3 “Avoid Nonessential Travel” warning due to COVID-19 is prohibited. This currently includes travel to or via China, South Korea, Iran and Italy. For the most up-to-date information about travel warnings, please read the CDC travel guidelines.
- Trevecca officials strongly discourage any University-related travel at this time, including conferences, symposiums, presentations and more.
Personal Travel: Carefully consider any personal travel to countries with CDC level 3 (“Avoid Nonessential Travel”) or State Department Level 3 (“Reconsider Travel”) or Level 4 (“Do Not Travel”) advisory due to COVID-19. Anyone who travels to these countries will be required to comply with all U.S. re-entry and quarantine requirements currently in place and notify University officials at firstname.lastname@example.org. Students, faculty members and employees of the University who are planning cruises need to do so with caution. Anyone who has been on a cruise must comply with all re-entry and quarantine requirements and should not return to campus before these requirements are met.
If you do choose to travel internationally, expect to encounter delays at any port of entry, whether in the U.S. or another country. Warning levels and the list of affected countries are dynamic. Please monitor changes and developments at the State Department and CDC websites.
