Trek allows people to go back to the basics—to eat together, pray together, commune together, and ultimately live life together.

TREK is an amazing 3-day backpacking experience that will take you to the South Cumberland plateau during the fall semester. TREK is open to all new students enrolled in Trevecca’s Life, Calling, and Purpose course, a required class for all new students (freshmen and transfers with less than 24 credit hours).

This invigorating trip gives students hands-on application of curriculum taught in the Life, Calling, and Purpose course through working as a team to prepare food, set-up camp, and hike through the wilderness.

Interested? Click here to fill out the application. Applications are accepted on a first come first serve basis.

For any questions regarding Trek, please contact Megan McGhee (615-248-1627).

Note that because this trip includes a backpacking experience, the students who participate need to be able to physically endure the challenge. The trip will cover somewhere between 12-15 miles of trail within 3 days, while carrying a backpack that weighs 20-30 lbs. Trevecca will provide all of the necessary equipment. Cost of the trip is covered in a course fee applied directly to a student’s account.
