Overview

Trevecca’s two- year degree in general studies will provide students with a well rounded education that will not only help them understand a broad realm of topics, but will also help them easily transition into any four-year program.

After competition of this program, students will be prepared to:

  1. Demonstrate competency in oral and written communication.
  2. Demonstrate an understanding of global civilization, human behavior, and religion through historical, literary, and aesthetic records.
  3. Articulate the foundational themes of the Holy Bible as well as the intellectual strategies for further study of scripture.
  4. Demonstrate an understanding and practice of various intellectual modes of thinking.
  5. Exhibit an understating of cultural diversity with a capacity to positively engage others.

With an associates degree in general studies from Trevecca, students will be prepared only to enter the workforce, but to also easily transition into any four-year degree program.

  3. Articulate the parameters of Wesleyan-Holiness tradition, doctrinal and moral convictions of the Church of the Nazarene and the connection with intellectual, emotional, spiritual, and physical life, individually and collectively.
  4. Demonstrate an understanding of global civilization, human behavior, and religion through historical, literary, and aesthetic records.
  5. Demonstrate an understanding and practice of various intellectual modes of thinking.
  6. Integrate the fundamental doctrinal/moral tenets of the Christian faith with the basic liberal arts and academic major, forming students for Christian leadership and service in the global community.
  7. Demonstrate an understating of cultural diversity with a capacity to positively engage others.
