Praise and Worship (A.A.)

Overview

The National Praise and Worship Institute (NPWI) offers an Associate of Arts in Praise and Worship and a one-year or two-year programs. Students can pursue a certificate or an associate degree. Students also have the option to minor in Praise and Worship or continue into a 4-year degree in another degree program. While in this unique conservatory design-program, students will participate in a worship band, which enhances their individual performance proficiency, receive instruction in the art of songwriting, and gain practical hands-on ministry experiences. Students receive an emphasis on experiential learning and the question of how we worship. They apply their theoretical knowledge in a band challenge each week.

The praise and worship program is taught in a cohort model. Students take all of their core NPWI classes together in accelerated seven-week modules that create an immersive experience. They can choose to follow a songwriting, performing or worship leading track in their second year.

Students will participate in short and long-term in-the-field ministry internships. Upon completion of the two-year certificate program, students have the opportunity to be represented by the nation's leading worship leader ministry-placement organization, The Slingshot Group Inc.
