Overall responsibility

The Systems Analyst will be responsible for maintaining and supporting a variety of existing and new computer applications and interfaces. Support will include installation, upgrades, customization, testing, and end user assistance. The Systems Analyst will be a regular full-time 12-month position which reports to the Chief Information Officer.
Key areas of responsibility include but are not limited to:
  • Assist in the maintenance, support, and configuration of the Student Information System (SIS) and associated ERP, CRM, and third-party applications supporting all campus departments
  • Assist in the development and customization of the campus intranet site
  • Assist in the development of ETL and API integrations between 3rd party products and the SIS
  • Facilitate campus-wide reporting and analytics
  • Perform complete testing (unit & system) of assigned applications, engaging end users as necessary
  • Provide timely and relevant summary of outstanding tasks to the Chief Information Officer on a weekly basis and escalate urgent issues to the Chief Information Officer as needed

  • Strong sense of customer support
  • Strong SQL skills
  • Demonstrated proficiency in common development technologies such as XML, JSON, web APIs, PHP, HTML5
  • Familiarity with LDAP authentication and Single Sign-On technology
  • SharePoint experience a plus
  • Previous SIS experience desirable
  • Ability to learn new computer applications quickly and with little formal training
  • Ability to communicate and teach non-technical users
  • Highly organized with the ability and willingness to maintain extensive written documentation
  • Ability to “think outside the box” and apply creative problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently to meet deadlines
  • Ability to promptly answer support-related email, phone calls and other electronic communications
  • Proficient in all areas of Microsoft Office
