Angela Carr Forsythe serves as associate professor of music and director of vocal studies in the School of Music and Worship Arts. A versatile vocalist, Angela has experience in classical music, music theater, contemporary Christian music and commercial recording.
Angela has performed at venues including Carnegie Hall, the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts and London’s Royal Albert Hall. She is a member of the Nashville Symphony Chorus and specializes in early music, appearing as a featured soloist with Music City Baroque and Early Music City. Her music theater credits include Maria in “West Side Story,” Sarah Brown in “Guys and Dolls,” Miss Andrew in “Mary Poppins” and Grandma Tzeitel in “Fiddler on the Roof.”
Angela is also involved in worship ministry as a member of the worship team at Brentwood Baptist Church. As a session singer, she has contributed to recordings for Disney, “Fargo,” “Destiny 2” and Jeremy Camp’s album “We Cry Out: The Worship Project.” Angela teaches all vocal styles and holds a Level 3 certification in the Somatic Voicework Lovetri Method. She lives in South Nashville with her husband, Matt, and their cat, Buddy.
