Keith Brautigam is a national and international performer and pedagogue whose career includes numerous performances on the concert and opera stage, as well as extensive work in vocal training throughout the United States and abroad. Keith has performed leading roles with companies including Cleveland Opera, Opera Grand Rapids, Chautauqua Opera and Skylight Opera. He has also appeared as a soloist with The Cleveland Orchestra, Grand Rapids Symphony and Fort Wayne Philharmonic.
His concert repertoire includes numerous oratorios and choral works, with particular expertise in Mendelssohn’s “Elijah,” Handel’s “Messiah,” Haydn’s “The Creation” and the cantatas and passions of J.S. Bach.
As a twice-tenured university voice professor, Keith has also taught internationally as a visiting instructor for the Teatro Colón Opera Apprenticeship Program in Buenos Aires. His more than 35-year career in higher education includes appointments as professor of voice at Indiana Wesleyan University, Calvin College, Baldwin Wallace College Conservatory of Music, Moody Bible Institute and Huntington College. At Baldwin Wallace, he served as chair of the voice department.
Keith and his family live in Franklin, Tennessee, where he also teaches out of his home studio.
