As dean of online learning & support services at Trevecca, LaMetrius,serves as a catalyst for change and innovation in education. She provides strategic leadership for online and blended learning programs and manages a team of instructional designers and online learning technology specialists. Prior to her experience with Trevecca, she served in various leadership roles in higher education as an online learning director at a community college and the dean of student engagement and campus technology at a 4-year private higher education institution. Her work has involved redesigning and developing programs to help institutions to improve online learning delivery and engagement.
LaMetrius earned her Ph.D. in instructional technology from Mississippi State University, focusing on improving adult learners' digital literacy. As a researcher in instructional design, she is guided by proven methods, cognitive research and education to stay abreast of instructional design trends and technology trends.
