Laura was born and raised in Augusta, Ga,, and received her B.S. from the University of Georgia. After working in counseling and sales, she realized her calling was to serve others through medicine and pursued her Master of Science in medicine as a physician assistant at Trevecca. She practiced as a P.A. in Nashville, specializing in urology, before returning to Trevecca to teach in the P.A. program. Laura is married to Simoni and they have two young daughters, Ava and Isla, and a sweet pup, Bella.
