Lauren is an adjunct professor in the Christian ministry online degree program who teaches Contextualized Ministry in Changing Culture. She earned her undergraduate degree in early childhood, elementary and special education from Samford University, and used her degree to serve children and families with special needs in public schools. Later, Lauren shifted careers and earned her master’s degree in international development from Eastern University. Lauren has worked in the nonprofit world for a decade and currently works for Nazarene Compassionate Ministries as the director of grants and programs. She and her husband, Mark, have been in ministry for more than 24 years serving churches and communities in Tennessee, Alabama, Texas, Arkansas and currently in Kansas. Lauren, Mark and their two sons, Paul and Luke, live in Olathe, Kansas.
