Matthew has worked for more than two decades in the field of magnetospheric space physics, producing various peer-reviewed research publications. In 2009, he started the Near Space Research program at Trevecca, and since then has regularly launched student research payloads to altitudes greater than 100,000 feet on weather balloons. He has helped Trevecca receive NASA, NSF and other external support for student research and has developed collaborations with numerous universities and K-12 schools. Huddleston is also a part-time author and world traveler, who has had adventures in more than 40 different countries.
