Roy is an educator, consultant and scholar specializing in marketing, international business and supply chain management. With more than 30 years of undergraduate and graduate teaching experience, he has taught in India, Kenya, Belize, Costa Rica and the United States. His teaching portfolio includes marketing, management, operations, supply chain, business communication and research.
Before entering academia, Roy worked in sales and administration in India, including roles with International Computers Indian Manufacturer Limited and Bishop Heber College. He also provides marketing consulting to small businesses, with an emphasis on market research, SWOT analysis and advertising strategy. He currently serves as an academic consultant to Africa Nazarene University and on the advisory committee for the Ph.D. program at the Alagappa Institute of Management in India.
Roy is an active scholar, speaker, reviewer and judge, and is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Marketing Association (AMA) and the Christian Business Faculty Association (CBFA). At Trevecca, he organizes the annual State Farm-sponsored Elevator Pitch Competition, which brings together students from four local universities, and is deeply committed to supporting international students.
Roy and his wife, Jooly, who also teaches at Trevecca, have two adult sons. He enjoys fitness, music, sports and movies.
