Sherry Francis Merideth is an adjunct professor of strings and holds the B.M. magna cum laude in violin performance and music education from DePaul University and the M.M. in violin performance from Belmont University. She is pursuing doctoral work in performance psychology and presented a lecture on supporting mental health and performance excellence at the 2023 ASTA National String Summit. She performs in a variety of ensembles including the Trans-Siberian Orchestra and Gaither Homecoming Videos.
Sherry teaches in her private studio in the Brentwood area and at Lipscomb Academy. She is the string specialist and orchestra director for the W.O. Smith Summer Music Resident Camp and adjudicates concerto competitions for W.O. Smith Music School and Belmont University. Her technical workshops include Effective Practice Techniques, Audition Prep, and Bow Strokes: Creating the Energy You Want in Your Playing.
Sherry is married to Tyler Merideth, a fellow musician and music educator. They have three young children and enjoy camping in the summers.
