Investing in the Future of Metro Nashville Students

The Trevecca Scholars Program is a scholarship opportunity designed specifically for students from participating Metro Nashville Public Schools. Through this initiative, up to 25 qualifying students each year will receive a scholarship that covers full tuition, fees and books*—making a Christ-centered college education more accessible than ever.

The Trevecca Scholars Program offers a path to graduate with little to no student debt through a combination of federal, state and institutional aid.

*Meals and housing not included for on-campus residents.

How to Qualify

To be eligible for the Trevecca Scholars Program, applicants must:

  • Be admitted to Trevecca Nazarene University
  • Complete the FAFSA
  • Be eligible for the Tennessee HOPE Scholarship by meeting one of the following academic requirements:
    • 3.0 GPA or higher
    • 21 ACT or higher
    • 1060 SAT or higher
  • Complete the Trevecca Scholars Program application
  • Submit a recommendation letter from a teacher or school counselor

  • Visit campus for a brief interview with the scholarship committee

October 18, 2025 – Experience Trevecca Day 
November 15, 2025 – Experience Trevecca Day
March 15, 2026 – Application and letter of recommendation due
March 28, 2026 – Experience Trevecca Day
March 31, 2026 – Final date for on-campus interviews
April 10, 2026 – Scholarship recipients notified
May 1, 2026 – National College Decision Day
June 1, 2026 – Enrollment deposit due to confirm scholarship

What costs does the scholarship cover?
It covers full tuition, required fees and books through a combination of state, federal and institutional aid. It does not cover housing or residential meal plans for students planning to live on campus.
Can I apply if I’m not from a participating Metro Nashville school?
No, this scholarship is available only to students from the listed MNPS schools.
What if I don’t meet the GPA or test score requirements?
You must meet at least one of the academic requirements (GPA or test score) listed above to qualify.
What’s the interview like?

It’s a casual conversation on campus with our scholarship team to get to know you better—no preparation needed.

What if I already visited campus?

An on-campus interview with the committee is still required, but if you’ve visited Trevecca before, you can let us know when you register for your visit that you’ll only be there for an interview.

What federal student loan options are available?

Does Trevecca Nazarene University accept military benefits?
TNU accepts all applicable military benefits (e.g. GI Bill®, Yellow Ribbon, etc.). It is important for you to obtain, complete and submit the appropriate forms for your benefits to be secured.
