Biography
Paul Christianson is a professor of music in the School of Music and Worship Arts and has been teaching at Trevecca since 1993. He earned a doctoral degree from the University of Georgia; master’s degrees from the University of Idaho and Trevecca Nazarene University; and a bachelor’s from Northwest Nazarene University. Paul’s 30 years of experience includes teaching classically-based piano, fine arts, music appreciation, art for music majors and keyboard literature and pedagogy. He is a past recipient of Trevecca’s Teaching Excellence Award and Idaho’s MTNA-Wurlitzer Collegiate Artist Competition and was a finalist in the Pro-Mozart Society of Atlanta’s scholarship competition. His original composition “Nocturne” was published in College Musician Magazine.
Paul and his wife, Denise, reside in Franklin, Tenn., and have three married children and three grandchildren.
