Jazz Studies

In addition to taking courses in theory, aural theory, jazz history, improvisation and their chosen instrument, students in this minor gain experience through the performance component of the program. 

Students in this minor take courses in theory, aural theory, jazz history, and private applied lessons in improvisation and their chosen instrument. The performance component includes participation in Jazz Ensemble (Big Band) and Jazz Combo showcases.
