Applicants who have not previously completed and passed a college math and/or English composition course at another institution and have not submitted official ACT/SAT scores for placement, will be required to complete TNU’s placement testing.

Friday, June 17 & Monday, June 20

8:30-10:30 a.m.

ENCOUNTER Check-in
Convocation Center, Boone Business Building

Students sign in with the Office of Admissions team and pick up their Encounter folder, and name badge.

After you Check-In, please feel free to take this time to:

  • Join our Student Government Association for outdoor games in front of the Boone Business Building
  • Tour a Residence Hall Room (women: Georgia Hall, men: Benson Hall)
  • Visit our 1901 coffee shop located in Waggoner Library (open 8 a.m. – 12 p.m.)
  • Visit our Starbucks location in Bud Robinson (open 8 a.m. – 4 p.m.)
  • Visit our Campus Store in Jernigan Student Center (open 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.)
  • Take a photo with the Reed Bell Tower – you will walk under it at graduation!
  • Explore campus – did you know we have two murals on campus?

Welcome to Encounter

Join us for the official welcome to Encounter with greetings from our President Dr. Dan Boone & Trevecca personnel.

10:40-11:15 a.m.

LINK Groups
Convocation Center, Boone Business Building

Trevecca’s Assistant Dean for Student Life will provide information about LINK Groups to students and parents. Then, students will transition to gatherings with their LINK Groups in various locations around campus.

11:15-1 p.m.

Enjoy Trevecca’s southern hospitality at a lunch served in our remodeled Jernigan Student Center with your Link group!

Just for Parents!

These workshops are designed to answer questions and provide information that will help parents and families begin to form a partnership with Trevecca faculty and administrators as they help their student transition into college life.

Enjoy Trevecca’s southern hospitality at a lunch served in our remodeled Jernigan Student Center!

(The first two guests per student will receive a complementary lunch. All additional quests will need to pay for their lunch upon entering the cafeteria).

This session will familiarize incoming students and their families to a variety of Student Development staff including student leaders, who will showcase the various services, clubs, and programs that form the heart of student life on campus.

2-4:15 p.m.

Introduction to Academic Life
Convocation Center, Boone Business Building

Trevecca’s Provost will provide instructions for transitioning to gatherings with academic departments and faculty for the process of individual academic meetings.

After your Academic Meetings, please feel free to take this time to:

  • Head over to Quad for an afternoon snack, hang out time with your Link group, and to meet Trevecca Student Leaders and ask them anything!
  • Grab a snack at the new C-Store in Jernigan Student Center (open 2-4 p.m.)
  • Visit our Starbucks location in Bud Robinson (open 8 a.m.-4 p.m.)
  • Visit our Campus Store in Jernigan Student Center (open 9 a.m.-3 p.m.)
2:45-4:15 p.m.

LINK Group Hang Time
The Quad

After your meeting with your Academic Advisor, come to the Quad and meet your Link group for some hang time.

4:15-5 p.m.

Presidential Q & A
Benson Auditorium, McClurkan Building

Parents and family members, come enjoy a live Q&A with our President and First Lady, Dr. Dan Boone and Denise Boone. Dessert refreshments will be served.
