Orientation check-in is a two-part process:

  • Students will check-in with the Office of Admissions at Boone Convocation Center.
    • This must be completed prior to moving into your residence hall.
  • Students will move into their residence halls.

Residential Early Arrival Athletes – Jersey Group Orientation Check-in
Residential athletes will move into their residence hall early. Residential athletes will check in with the Office of Admissions on Tuesday, August 23rd, from 10 – 11:45 a.m.

Lunch provided for Tuesday Arrival new residential students and two guests (with vouchers). Vouchers provided in check-in folders. Residential students arriving for check-in at 1 p.m. can pick up their lunch vouchers in the Admissions office on the lower level of Waggoner Library from 12 – 1 p.m.

Families of Tuesday Arrivals are invited gather in Benson Auditorium to reflect on the upcoming journey of their students and their transition as a family.  It’s a time of celebration and prayer for what God will do in the students’ lives and to provide a time of comfort for the parents/guardians, as their students take this next step. If preferred, materials will be provided in the lobby of Benson Auditorium for families to engage in a self-guided prayer time. This is the last scheduled session for Parents and Families.  Attendance not required.

Jackson Center for Music & Worship Arts
Music Major Meeting, Placement Testing & Music Auditions
All music majors (commercial, worship, music ed, performance) are required to sign up for auditions (if not already completed) AND placement in at least one voice and/or instrument ensemble. Non-music majors are invited to audition for an ensemble. This requires an individual meeting with an ensemble director. Meeting times with Dr. Lerew, Dr. Diehl, Professor Cox, Dr. Carr Forsythe, Professor Hosny, Professor Fullen, and Professor Calhoun may be scheduled for Wednesday, August 23rd between 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. All auditions and ensemble assignments will be held in the Jackson building. Please sign up for a time here.

Welcome to Trevecca! Link Group Phase 1
Join us for the kick-off to August Orientation as new students meet their entire Link group in person for the first time. Link groups are our New Student Orientation groups and are available for both Freshmen and Transfers. These groups represent the start of building community at Trevecca.

*Transfer students with fewer than 24 transfer credit hours are required to participate in a freshmen LINK group.
Transfers with more than 24 transfer hours may participate in the Transfer LINK led by Transfer Peer Mentors.

This is Who We Are…
Presented by the Center for Student Development, this session will provide helpful insights to life at TNU, including introducing the Community Guidelines for all students and highlighting special resources. This session will include an introduction of the Associated Student Body by the Student Government Association. Finally, session will also provide education and information on the services and resources Trevecca provides to the campus community as part of compliance with Federal Title IX regulations.

Link Group Phase 2
Students will be dismissed into their Link groups to participate in a variety of orientation activities including completion of the College Student Inventory, Technology 101, and campus tours.

Transfer LINK Session
Attendance is required for all new Transfer Students (Residential & Commuting)    
Transfers are welcomed to the hill. Trevecca personnel are thrilled that they have chosen to finish their education here at Trevecca Nazarene University. We understand that transfer students have unique questions and concerns as they get acclimated to a new community. This time is designed to meet those needs. Students will receive advice from prior transfers to begin their Trevecca journey. A technology 101 session for transfer students will also be presented during this time.

After completing the required Transfer Link session, Transfer students are invited (but not required) to attend a dinner especially for them, designed to help them meet and form connections with other new Transfers at Trevecca!

Attendance is required for all new students enrolled in the Life Calling and Purpose class (INT 1100 LINK). Transfers are not required to attend but invited and encouraged to participate.
All new student LINK groups will gather in the Boone Convocation Center for opening remarks before being dismissed to their individual service sites. Groups will return to Boone at 12:00 for a debrief of their experiences.

  • International Students - final check-in with Global Engagement Office complete (ground floor of the Bud Robinson Building)?
  • Technology Questions? Please visit the Helpdesk (Waggoner Library).

Come join the block party to welcome all students, celebrate the opening of Student Life offices in Jernigan Student Center, and wish Dr. Boone a Happy Birthday! (Dinner served for ALL students regardless of meal plan)

Mandatory housing meeting for all on-campus students
Check with Resident Director or Resident Assistant for time and location of your specific Residence Hall’s meeting. Attendance is required and fines are assessed if meeting is missed.
