Bakara Nkenge‐Hinds is an adjunct professor of voice and a Nashville-based soprano. She holds the Master of Music in vocal pedagogy from Belmont University, the Bachelor of Music degree in music education from Michigan State University and the certificate from the Northwest Institute of Voice and the Somatic Voicework™ the LoVetri Method. Bakara serves as a clinician teaching master classes to voice students at other universities.

Teaching and performing in the Nashville area at venues such as the Schermerhorn Symphony Center, Tennessee Performing Arts Center, National Museum of African American History, Oz Arts, and Noah Liff Opera Center, Bakara's concertizing includes the Belmont Chorale, Opera on Tap, Nashville Opera, Visionary Vocal Collaborative and the W. Crimm Singers.
