Yolanda serves as the director of teacher education and the initial licensure officer for the School of Education. She also serves as the research chair for the specialist in accountability and instructional leadership program.
Prior to her work at Trevecca, Statom served for 30 years in the Metropolitan Nashville Public School System. Her roles included teacher, literacy coach and assistant principal.
She is married to Lelan and together they have two adult children, Kayela and Taylor.
