Trevecca’s Master of Science in instructional design and technology equips graduates to assume these crucial roles on teams in multiple industries. Our program is the only one of its kind offered currently in Middle Tennessee. Graduates learn skills such as programming, animation/simulation, methods of training and course delivery and designing effective instruction. 

From building academic courses for the classroom to designing training seminars for the workplace, the instructional design and technology degree applies to multiple disciplines and work environments. Versatile and practical, this program offers an education that’s both relevant and timely.

  • Apply instructional design methods to build global solutions to create impactful and engaging online programs in education or corporate training
  • Gain hands-on experience in the capstone course by developing a training module or an online course

In this program, students develop dynamic environments that engage learners’ interaction with images, words, videos, animations and games and use the latest research trends and issues in instructional design and technology to design and facilitate effective learning experiences. Students also craft reliable and valid digital learning assessments and create products to solve instructional problems through the use of various technologies.
