Choose a track: 

  • Higher Education—Designed for those interested in teaching or serving as a college administrator. This option equips future college professors and administrators with both an understanding of the recent academic literature and research surrounding higher education and the most effective undergraduate and graduate-level teaching practices. Coursework includes the opportunity to assist in facilitating a live online course (offered 100 percent online).
  • Consulting and Coaching—Structured to equip graduates to help others realize their maximum potential. Whether coaching an executive or a classroom teacher, you’ll be prepared to analyze needs, design a pathway of learning and facilitate clients’ self-improvement and success (offered 100 percent online). 
  • Enterprise Leading and Managing—Focused on developing executive-level leaders who work in complex and/or entrepreneurial settings. You’ll examine recent academic literature and research surrounding strategic leadership while learning practical steps for system optimization (offered 100 percent online).
  • Health Care Administration—Created to prepare graduates for leadership and service in health care organizations at middle- and senior-management levels (offered 100 percent online). 
  • Pre-K-12 District Leadership— Designed to offer graduates an enterprise (district) level of training in the planning and leadership required to influence optimization and improvement among a district’s students, schools, professionals and communities. You’ll learn from a variety of professors who have served as superintendents or district-level leaders (offered in-person or 100 percent online).
  • Professional Practice—Created to help graduates develop an understanding of how cultural influences, ethics and strategic policies and planning influence their ability to lead in any workplace (offered in-person or 100 percent online).

Here’s what to expect:

Flexibility. Take one course at a time. Attend class face-to-face one Saturday a month or complete your degree fully online. Our team of professors and mentors structure the pace of this program with professionals in mind. Study when it’s convenient for you—an hour in the morning over coffee, during your lunch break or after your kids’ bedtime.   • Leadership (self, team and organizations)
  • Research (applied research and statistics)
  • Professional Practice (transformational change; cultural influences; strategic policy and planning; professional practice; theories, systems and structures; and technology)

This non-licensure doctoral program extends for 27 months and allows you to complete your dissertation in concert with the rest of your coursework.
