Tim Calhoun is an adjunct commercial guitar professor in the School of Music and Worship Arts and a seasoned professional guitarist who honed his musical expertise at the University of Miami Frost School of Music, majoring in studio music and jazz.

For more than 25 years, he has worked as a guitarist and a sought-after session musician in Miami, New York City and Nashville. He has collaborated with award-winning artists including Jo Dee Messina, Trisha Yearwood, Jamie O’Neal, Kathy Troccoli, Michael W. Smith, Jeremy Camp and many others. As a session musician, Tim's guitar prowess is featured in commercials for renowned brands such as Coke, Kroger, Macy’s and Six Flags.

He lives in Nashville with his wife, Amy, and their two boys. The Calhoun family attends Grace Chapel in Leiper’s Fork, Tenn., where Tim serves on the worship team.
