Using the instructions and resources below, employers can post a job or internship on Handshake.

  • Log into your employer Handshake account.
  • Select “Post a Job” from the Home dashboard.
  • Complete the form, providing as much detail as possible for best recruiting results (you can copy and paste information into this form). All * areas are required.
  • Select “Next” along the bottom to move through the posting options. Be sure to add how you would like to receive applicant packages, add Trevecca Nazarene University as the school to post the job, and enter an apply start date and expiration date for the job post.
  • Submit for review and approval.

The Career Development Office at Trevecca Nazarene University has established guidelines to guarantee that students and alumni receive equitable treatment and are considered for legitimate roles. Employers and organizations seeking to recruit students from Trevecca are expected to comply with these guidelines and the Fair Labor Standards Act.

Job type restrictions:

  • Third-party recruiters
    • The Office of Career Services does not endorse or recommend any third-party employment services.
    • According to the National Association of Colleges and Universities’ (NACE) “Principles for Career Services Professionals,” third-party recruiters are agencies, organizations or individuals recruiting candidates for temporary, part-time or full-time employment opportunities other than for their own needs. This includes entities that refer to or recruit for profit or not for profit, and it includes agencies that collect student information to be disclosed to employers for purposes of recruitment and employment.
  • Commission-only employment
    • All employers and individuals who provide jobs or entrepreneurial opportunities are required to offer a base salary that is at least the same as the federal minimum wage. They must also adhere to all regulations at federal, state and local levels.
  • Upfront product purchase
    • Employers and individuals who provide job or entrepreneurial opportunities that only offer commission-based compensation or require potential employees to buy products or services in advance are not allowed to participate in on-campus recruitment or career fairs.
  • In-home personal employment
    • We do not advertise positions for babysitting or any other roles that would require an employee to work from a private residence such as a house, apartment or condominium.
