Ministerial Candidate Workshop Registration

The Ministerial Candidate Workshop is uniquely designed to assist licensed ministers in their preparation for ministry and possible ordination.

During the Ministerial Candidate Workshop (MCW), candidates will explore their call to ministry, increase their self-awareness and gain a deeper understanding of their spiritual growth. The event includes consultation with a licensed behavioral health clinician as well as participation in a variety of equipping seminars and ministry development opportunities.

In the coming months, Trevecca’s Director of the Center for Pastoral Health Jay Earles—as well as your district superintendent and/or district coordinator—will be in touch to make sure you have the needed information to prepare for the workshop.

Preparation involves completion of a number of psychological assessment inventories and questionnaires—all which you (and your spouse if you’re married) will complete at a proctored event, potentially with other candidates from your district. Your district coordinator will be contacting you with a location, date and time for this event.

In order to proceed, you’ll need to formally register for the event. Registration for MCW 2023 is closed as we have reached the maximum number of registered candidates. The registration information provides us with some additional details and allows you to submit your $250 deposit for the event. You may pay in full if you wish. Otherwise, the balance is due six weeks prior to the event. Our receipt of this registration form and payment allows us to reserve your place at the workshop as well as ensure you have assessment materials at your district's proctored event.

Workshop costs include housing and meals for Friday through Sunday. MCW will begin at noon on Friday, March 24 with sign-in and room assignment and conclude by noon on Sunday, March 26.

Preparation

It is critical to understand that the time you spend in preparation for the workshop is nearly as important as the time you will spend at the workshop. You may wonder why we have designated so much time for the review and preparation of the assessment packets. This is due to the diligence of our staff of assessment consultants who review the results of your assessments in order to provide you with guidance and professional feedback on your specific talents, skills and professional orientation in preparation for ministry.

Thank you for your attention to these details. The MCW planning team is excited about providing this event again this year and we look forward to your attendance. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact Jay Earles (jkjbear4@me.com) or your district representative.
