What to Expect

Trevecca’s Certificate in human resource management introduces you to the crucial and practical functions of HR. Over the course of nine credit hours, you’ll study topics such as HR law; HR planning; job analysis; recruiting; selection; training and development; performance appraisal; compensation; and benefits. Each course is designed to demonstrate how these concepts play out in real organizations, giving you tools you can use immediately in your current role.

Alongside the technical content, you’ll develop broader leadership skills such as critical thinking, communication and ethical decision-making. Connections with faculty and peers from different industries will expand your perspective and help you see human resource challenges through new lenses. While not a direct preparation for industry certifications, this program provides a strong foundation for professional growth and equips you to step more confidently into HR and management roles.
