For students and their families, Commencement is a milestone moment, an occasion not soon forgotten. For the greater Trevecca community, Commencement is a vital part of the life of the University, a celebration we look forward to each spring.
While we weren't able to celebrate in the same way this year, Trevecca officials want to make sure that our 2020 graduates feel cherished, honored and celebrated by the greater Trevecca community. We plan to celebrate all of the graduates who would have participated in the May 2020 Commencement Convocation with a Commencement Celebration in early December. The event will be held in Boone Convocation Center. This event will provide a way for graduates to celebrate with a small group of friends and family (a single carload), hear their names called and get that coveted cap-and-gown photo with Dr. Boone.
To participate, graduates must RSVP and reserve a specific time slot. (Reservation link will be available soon.) While only the friends and family members who arrived with you in your vehicle can accompany you through the entire celebration experience, we encourage you to coordinate with friends and cohort members, so that you can share the experience and cheer each other on—all while safely socially distanced. COVID-19 protocols and safety procedures will be followed, including required face coverings and temperature checks. The event will be livestreamed.
Please note: current COVID-19 mandates require that we limit the number of people allowed in Boone Convocation Center at a time. We must comply with public health regulations and restrictions, which may shift or change.
More information will be provided here in coming days. Graduates should also expect an email with detailed instructions from the Provost's Office soon.
