What to Expect
We’ve built this degree on the belief that the best educators nurture and shape their students intellectually, socially and emotionally, so this program equips you to bring knowledge to the next generation as you impart wisdom, instruction and inspiration in your classroom. Our versatile program allows you to choose licensure in elementary education (K-5) or secondary education (6-12), and it covers the best practices for both remote and in-person instruction. You’ll learn how to navigate online learning management systems and deliver clear and compelling virtual lessons. You’ll also learn traditional classroom strategies for effective lesson planning and delivery, student support and problem solving.
Beyond that, you’ll have opportunities for hands-on learning and application through our partnerships with local schools. You’ll be able to observe, collaborate, and student teach. Some of our field experiences and student teaching assignments are job-embedded opportunities.
